How I Got My Google Ads Account Reinstated After 6 Months of Suspension

My Google Ads account was suddenly suspended for “Circumventing Systems” with a warning not to create new accounts and a generic policy email (the usual examples: bypassing enforcement, abusing product features, submitting false info, etc).

No specific example. No mention of what I’d actually done wrong.
Appeals were rejected. For months, all I got was the same policy boilerplate.

Only much later did Google finally specify that the real issue was Advertiser Verification – not me trying to game the system. That crucial detail was missing from the original suspension notice, so I spent months guessing in the dark.

After 6 months of going in circles, I brought in StubGroup, an agency that specializes in suspensions. They:

  • audited my Google Payments profile

  • guided me through identity + advertiser verification in the right order

  • helped structure an appeal that addressed the actual issue Google cared about

Once that process was done 2-3 times, I received an email saying my

Lessons:

  • “Circumventing Systems” can hide much more mundane backend issues like verification

  • Fixing suspensions is about systems and sequence

  • If you’ve had multiple appeals rejected with no real explanation, it’s possible to get around the seemingly hopeless situation if you know what you’re doing!

Thank you StubGroup

Upon reinstatement, Google had the gall to say it was “temporarily suspended to verify your billing information” after the finality of the initial email above 🙄
